Overview The final project for this course is the creation of a research paper. The research paper should demonstrate an understanding of the readings in this class as well as the implications of new knowledge gained. The 8–10-page paper should integrate text material and class discussions into work and/or life experiences. It may include explanations and examples from previous experiences as well as implications for future application. The purpose of the final paper is for you to culminate the learning achieved in this course by describing your understanding and application of knowledge in the area of social psychology and the critical thinking process that has evolved. For this assignment, you may choose any one of the issues discussed in this course and integrate your learning into personal experiences or proposed work or life experiences.

The project is divided into three milestones, which will be submitted at various points throughout the course to scaffold learning and ensure quality final submissions. These milestones will be submitted in Modules Two, Four, and Five. The final submission is in Module Seven.

Milestone Two: Annotated Bibliography In task 4-3, you will submit an annotated bibliography. The annotated bibliography has to consist of five scholarly articles. Write a succinct annotation that summarizes the concepts of the articles. This list should be comprehensive enough to meet all of the critical elements of the paper. This milestone is graded with the Annotated Bibliography Rubric. Milestone Three: Rough Draft In task 5-2, you will submit a rough draft of your paper. This should contain all the elements of the final submission, which is due in Module Seven. This milestone is graded as 0 points/full points upon submission. Feedback should be implemented for the final submission. Final Product: Research Paper In task 7-2, you will submit your final research paper. It should be a complete, polished artifact containing all of the critical elements of the final product. It should reflect the incorporation of feedback gained throughout the course.
