Most people would define ethical behavior as “doing the right thing.” Most people do not want to associate or do business with people who engage in unethical behaviors, such as lying, cheating, and stealing. Academic integrity creates a culture in which students, faculty, and staff can trust one another to act with honesty, fairness, responsibility, and respect.
