Week 6: Team PowerPoint Evaluations

For each of the tasks identified below, provide an honest evaluation of the PowerPoint presentations completed by other teams. Assess the team’s overall performance in each category using the rating scale provided. Choose two (2) teams in the class and evaluate those teams. Do NOT evaluate your own team’s performance on this form and do not evaluate more than two other teams.

Performance rating key

1 – Poor

2 – Fair

3 – Good

4 – Excellent

Team:   A
Criterion Rating
Case clearly and adequately summarized 4
Appropriate team members identified and justified 3
Roles and functions of team members clearly explained 3
Reasonable sequence of care depicted 4
Successes and setbacks of patient care consistent and convincing 4
Conclusion logical, appropriate and justified 4
Artistic and visual quality of presentation 3
What procedure or process did the team employ that you feel was particularly effective? Explain.

The process that Team A used that was effective was how they incorporated each of the interdisciplinary team members into the sequence of care.  Each team member was identified in the order in which the patient would interact with him or her.  I also liked how the team incorporated the interdisciplinary team members within the potential successes and setbacks. It provided great examples on how the team members could help the patient overcome their setbacks.

What procedure or process did the team employ that may have hindered its progress? Explain.

The one process that hindered the presentation was the lack of information on the interdisciplinary team members. A brief description of the different team members is needed to provide a better understanding of who is involved in the care of their patient.

Additional comments.

Team A did a great job on their project.  The one thing I would have liked to see was the setbacks and achievements the team may have had during their collaboration in putting the presentation together.

What procedure or process did the team employ that you feel was particularly effective? Explain.

I like how Team C broke their presentation into three sections.  It was easy to follow and each section provided a very detailed explanation of the treatment their patient was to receive. I also like how the team provided what setbacks the patient may encounter during their recovery.

What procedure or process did the team employ that may have hindered its progress? Explain.

Though the PowerPoint presentation was excellent, some of the slides had too much information on them.  The team should have split up the slides that had more than four bullet points. This would have kept the audience’s attention focused on what they were trying to explain.  Too much information on one slide can also take away from the main point they are trying to get across to the audience.

Additional comments.

Team C did an excellent job on their project.  The one thing I would have liked to see was the setbacks and achievements the team may have had during their collaboration in putting the presentation together.
