Progress to date

This week we worked on dividing the PowerPoint slides that were missing information amongst the three of us.

Issues- tasks, obstacles, concerns identified by team

The concern that I (Laura) have seen is lack of communication from all team members and a delay in responses to post being made about the project. It is hard to know who is doing what when no one responds to one another’s post. This will lead to duplicated work, which will be a major setback in the team project seeing that it is due in two weeks.

I (Priscilla) have seen lack of communication as well from other team members besides Laura and myself. I check the discussion board every other day, as Laura suggested I will check it every day. I have offered my personal cell phone number as an option to get in quick contact with me about any questions or concerns the team members may have.

Possible solutions- advantages and disadvantages of each

Moving forward, we need to be accountable for checking the discussion area daily. This will ensure that all questions and concerns are answered the same day. This will help alleviate any duplicated work.

Discussion- brief summary of team deliberations

Due to the lack of communication this week, deliberations were minimal. It is hard to deliberate when only one or two people are trying to deliberate amongst a group project.

Recommended or implemented solutions

Recommended solution is a more consistent communication amongst the team.

Action items- tasks and individual assignments for the coming week. Include PowerPoint production progress.

Priscilla- Will work on slides 13 and 15

Laura – Will work on slides 11, 12, and 14.

Jennifer- Will work on going through the PowerPoint to make sure there are no grammar errors, please summarize slide 2, and verify the medical team name on slide 7.

All- Will look for pictures or content they would like to have throughout the presentation. We will upload the pictures to the file exchange and Laura will copy and paste them into the presentation.

Students’ Responsibility: Participation in Group Project meetings and discussions is an important factor in determining each student’s final course grade. One group member should take notes and complete this form, and all group members should work together to look over the form and suggest additions before the note-taker submits it in the Group Project Discussion area. The log should provide details regarding the meeting, the attendance/participation of members, and the results and actions of the team.
